Kicking bags & punching pads for 5 - 6 hours every day is TOO much for most of our fitness, detox & weight loss student's ... So @ Phromthep Muay Thai Camp we have introduced One & Two hour PRIVATE training sessions.
Your trainer & you, ONE on ONE for (1 or 2 hours of EVERY day)
You get to pick what time in the the day you want to train and which of our Muay Thai trainers you want to train with.
Private Thai boxing training sessions allows you MORE FREE TIME to experience other types of fitness exercises such as running, swimming, rock diving, cycling, yoga, weight training & other core strength training exercises.

Rock Diving @ Naiharn beach
Pick up a 20kg rock and carry it 15 - 20 meters under the water. This is a GREAT Cardio exercise that improves your lung capacity Very quickly... ( Some of Our Fitness students in the morning swim group like practice rock diving after the 9:30 morning swim @ Naiharn beach.

Cycling @ Phuket Thailand
Phromthep Muay Thai Camp have mountain bikes & triathlon bikes available for our fitness & detox students that want to add cycling to their daily activities.
A mountain bike is a safe way to get around & you can easily clock up 10 - 20 km in a day just riding to the beach, restaurants, detox center, Thai massage shop, etc.
Their are LOTs of hills and beautiful scenic beach roads to make 20 - 80 km training rides interesting & fun.
Students that come to Phromthep Muay Thai Camp for weight loss & improved fitness will benefit ALOT from riding the mountain bikes @ Phuket Thailand.

Running Programs
If you are running on the roads around Rawai beach, Phromthep cape and Kata beach you will see the most memorable sight's of Thailand such as Tropical rain forests, Buddhist temples, Ocean views, white sandy beaches, elephant's, monkey's, Buddhist monk's & the BiG Buddha of Phuket.

Naiharn Lagoon - 2km | 1.2 mile run
Running laps around Naiharn lagoon is a very popular run with Thai's & foreigners.
Naiharn Buddhist Temple, beautiful ocean views & the cool ocean breeze makes this a favorite run for many of our fitness students.
(One lap around the lagoon = 2km)

Phromthep Cape (Short Version ) - 5km | 3.1 mile run
Turn right from the gym and run the 900 meters to Yanui beach, turn left @ the Yanui beach & run up the hill to Phromthep Cape and keep following the road down to Phromthep Muay Thai Cape located at the bottom of the Phromthep cape hill.
(Run time = 30 - 40km)

The Calf Burner - 9km | 4.9 mile run
Turn left out of the GYM, run 400 meters & then turn first street on the right.
This is a quiet road that tucks in behind Rawai beach & winds up the back of Phromthep Cape, it comes out behind the Buddhist temple close to the top of Phromthep cape. Keep following the road up over Phromthep cape & down past Yanui beach, up over the VERY STEEP but short wind turbine hill & down the other side to naiharn lagoon. lap once around Naiharn lagoon & then follow the same road up over the hills to Phromthep cape & back on to the GYM.
This is a slow pace run with alot of BIG HILLs for BURNING the calf / legg muscles & creating BIGGER & Stronger calf muscles.
(Run time is approx 1.4 hours)

FIGHTERs FITNESS Test - 11km | 6.2 mile run.
This run has been the TEST of fitness for many Muay Thai fighters over the years.
It's a 3.7km | 6.2 mile run from Phomthep Muay Thai Camp to the bottom of the Kata hill & Its 1.7 km | 1 mile from the bottom of the hill to KATA LOOK OUT Point @ the top of the hill.
This run is a test of your Stanima & Fitness. It allows you to see how hard you can push your self before your cardio reaches that point of no return / Cardio Fatigue.
The 15 minutes run time from the bottom of the hill to the top of the hill is equal to 5 x 3 minutes rounds of a Muay Thai fight.
If you can NOT run to the top of the hill with out stopping then you are NOT yet fit enough to fight in Thailand.
If you get puffed during this hill run and need to stop and walk a bit so you catch your breath then consider it an 8 count, If you have to stop and walk a 2nd time before you reach the top of the HILL then its TKO (FIGHT STOPPED because of LACK of fitness).
The 3km | 1.2 mile run from Phromthep Muay Thai Camp to the bottom of the HILL is a nice slow pace warm up for the stamina test on the HILL.
(The complete run takes approx 1.2 hours)

PHROMTHEP Cape (LONG RUN - Hills & flat road) - 13 km |8 mile run
Starting from Phromthep Muay Thai Camp you run along Rawai beach & keep following the road up over the small hill, past Vichit Resort & turn left @ the Seven Eleven convince store @ the bottom of the hill . Follow the road up past Atsumi detox center & Don's cafe, turn left @ the next seven eleven store & follow the road down to Naiharn beach, up over the hill to the wind turbine, down the other side to yanui beach & up over Phromthep cape, finishing the run back at the GYM.
(Sunrise over the water & Rawai beach makes this a beautiful morning run)
(Run time is approx 1.3 hours)

Half Marathon - 20 km | 8 mile run
Starting @ Phromthep Muay Thai Camp, you run up to Kata look out and continue on over the hills to Kata beach. Loop around club med and follow the the same road back to Phromthep Muay Thai Camp.
You can make this a 32km run by continuing past Kata beach & on to Karon beach, do a u - turn at Karon Roundabout and its a 16 km run back to the gym.
This is also part of the course for the annual Phuket Mountain Marathon
