Billie Avison from Queensland Australia is 15 years old & has come to Phuket Thailand for 1 YEAR of LIVING, training & FIGHTING @ Phromthep Muay Thai Camp. Billie has dropped out of school @ age 15 to follow her dream of Training Muaythai FULL TIME in Thailand with her Father (Wayne Avison) & older brother Harlee Avison @ Phromthep Muay Thai Camp.
Harlee first came to Thailand at age 13 and 2 years later came back to have his first Thai boxing FIGHT @ the age of 15. Now 3 years on Harlee has clocked up 30+ Pro fights.
Training & FIGHTING full time in Thailand @ such a young age will give Billie a HUGE advantage on her Thai boxing rivals.
She will be training Muay Thai 6 hours a day 6 days a week, Her day will begin @ 6am morning run. Billie will fight every month @ Patong / Bungla Muay Thai stadium to gain valuable fight experience on the Thailand fight circuit.
Billie on arrival at the GYM weighed in @ 72kg.
After 3 weeks of FIGHT training Billie should be @ 65kg & ready for her first FIGHT. Update on Billie's first Fight Coming SooN

Wayne from Australia breaks his arm early in round 2 @ Patong Muay Thai Stadium. Wayne is in hospital for the night awaiting an operation to fix the break.
(If you look close @ the x-ray you can see the elbow is also dislocated)
UPDATE: Wayne had a plate put in his arm and will be out of action for 3 - 5 months.
His opperation to repair the broken arm cost's 50,000 Thai baht .
At Phromthep Muay Thai camp we have developed our own Fighters Medical Fund to help cover OUR fighter's from unexpected & potental HUGE hospital or dental bills from fighting or fight training @ Phromthep Muay Thai Camp.
The fighters prize money from their FIRST fight Only is TAXED 1000 Thai baht (approx $30).
The money collected will go towards an EMERGENCY Medical Fund that is to HELP OUR fighters with hospital & dental expenses from fight related injuries.
(Motor Bike accidents are NOT covered by the Fighters Medical Fund)

Bob has come to Thailand to FIGHT.
BOB Vs Obesity... we are now in round 2 with BOB clearly winning the battle.
Bob was 107 Kgs when he came to Phuket for a 3 month Fitness / weight loss holiday. Bob has been eating a healthy diet @ the GYM restaurant & training hard EVERY day running, swimming & Thai boxing training.

Kings Cup 2009 @ Bangkok
Harlee Avison (18 years Old) from Brisbane Australia will fight @ the 2009 Kings Cup Tournament at Bangkok Thailand on 4th December. Harlee will fight a foreign fighter from Super Pro Gym @ Koh Saumi.
The fight will be at @ 68kg...
Fight Results- The fight was stopped in the 5th round because of to much blood, Harlee lost by 5th Round TKO.

Phromthep Muay Thai Camp are in negotiations with the boys downunder @ Gracie Sydney Brazilian Jiu Jitsu about bringing Gracie BJJ training to Phromthep Muay Thai Camp @ Phuket Thailand. More details will be posted here soon.

The main training area of the GYM is still a few weeks from completion but we have set up a temporary training area for our small group of Fight & Fitness students. Private One on One training sessions with Yib are available @ Discounts rates + Fight training with YIB is available @ 5000 THB per month. (Valid intill the end of October 2009).

about Harlee...
Harlee has been living / training & fighting full time in Thailand since he was 16 years old.
He spent the first 2 years training @ Por Pramuk Gym with K1 MAX superstar Baukaw. Harlee just turned 18 years of age & has already clocked up 19 pro fights.
Harlee has recently moved from Por Pramuk GYM in Bangkok & is now living, training & fighting full time @ Phromthep Muaythai Camp.

Phromthep Muay Thai Camp .. the beginning

Construction of the NEW Phromthep Muaythai Camp started 30th April 2009.
Stage #1 is the Gym restaurant, internet cafe & chill out lounge with BIG screen TV +
the main training area with 2 x boxing rings + 10 x heavy bags, office, changing rooms, toilets, Fighters & Trainers accommodation + Dannys Bungalow / Office.
Stage #1 should be completed & READY for training by 1st September 2009
Stage #2 is the 25 meter swimming pool, Thai massage spa, Thai Herbal Steam room + bath tubs for detox baths & post training ice baths.
Stage 2 should be completed some time in 2010... more updates coming :)
